Games Like Excubitor

Excubitor throws you into a fast-paced sci-fi world where you command a squad of elite soldiers in tight combat situations. You control a team of three from a top-down perspective and have to think ahead as you move through enemy-infested zones. The game blends real-time action with tactical planning, giving you a moment to issue orders before the chaos kicks in. You can switch between your squad members on the fly and use their unique abilities to clear rooms, flank enemies, or hold off waves. The atmosphere is tense and immersive with sharp visuals and a moody soundtrack that keeps you on edge. It feels like a mix of classic X-COM and modern shooter design with a focus on smart decisions over button-mashing. There's a good amount of replay value thanks to different enemy setups and mission objectives. While it might not be perfect in every area, the core loop of planning, executing, and surviving is deeply satisfying.
