Games Like Dear Mariko

Dear Mariko is a really unique RPG that grabbed me with its atmosphere. You step into the shoes of a young man who finds himself in a mysterious and unsettling world. The game blends exploration with a compelling mystery you slowly unravel. It’s not about intense combat but more about piecing together clues and making choices that genuinely affect the story’s outcome. There’s a definite dark tone and an anime inspired art style which adds to the overall feeling of unease and wonder. It's a relatively short experience but packed with emotional weight and multiple endings, encouraging replayability to see how different your decisions can shape the narrative. If you enjoy games that prioritize story and atmosphere over action, and aren't afraid of a bit of psychological intrigue, Dear Mariko is definitely worth checking out.
