Dead Universe is a really cool 2D dungeon crawler that throws you into a procedurally generated universe. You play as a space explorer who crash lands and has to fight your way through alien worlds. The combat is turn based which gives you time to think about your moves and build a strategy. What's really neat is the sense of discovery you get as you explore each new planet finding unique enemies items and lore fragments. It's got a retro vibe with its pixel art but it feels fresh and engaging. It's not super difficult but it offers a satisfying challenge and a good amount of replayability if you enjoy exploring and upgrading your character. It’s a game where you can just chill and blast through dungeons or really focus on optimizing your build for tougher encounters.
