Games Like Comet 64

Comet 64 is a really interesting indie title that throws you into a retro inspired world where you're tasked with building and managing a spacefaring empire. It’s not a typical grand strategy game though. You’ll be focused on resource gathering, crafting, and exploration all while dealing with a surprisingly challenging and sometimes unforgiving sandbox environment. The game leans heavily into a nostalgic aesthetic reminiscent of classic 8-bit games but with a modern sensibility. Expect to spend a good amount of time optimizing your production chains and carefully planning your expansion. It's definitely a game for players who enjoy a good challenge and the satisfaction of building something complex from the ground up. If you appreciate games that reward careful planning and don’t hold your hand, Comet 64 might just be your next favorite.
