Games Like Beat City

Beat City is a really cool and unique game for the Nintendo DS. It blends rhythm action with city building creating something totally different. You play as a hero who has to defend Beat City from waves of enemies by hitting notes in time with the music. As you progress you can build and upgrade different districts of the city each with its own style and challenges. The music is fantastic really driving the gameplay and making you want to keep playing. It's not just about button mashing though there's strategy involved in choosing which buildings to construct and how to best defend against the incoming threats. It’s a fun and surprisingly addictive experience that stands out from a lot of other games. If you enjoy games that mix genres and have a strong musical component you should definitely give Beat City a try.
