Games Like Among the Sleep

Among the Sleep is a first-person adventure that puts you in the shoes of a young child who can barely walk and talk but has to solve a mystery in their own home. The game is built around the simple yet powerful idea of seeing the world through a toddler’s eyes. You crawl through dark hallways, peek behind doors, and stumble through rooms that feel twice as big as they should. There’s no combat, no complex controls just exploring and piecing together what happened to your parents. The atmosphere is thick with unease and wonder as shadows stretch and sounds echo in ways that don’t make sense. It’s not scary in the jump-scare way but builds tension slowly through sound and environment. The game uses simple mechanics to create something deeply emotional and memorable. You’re not a hero or a warrior. You’re just a kid trying to find your way in a world that feels too big and too quiet.
