Games Like Alien Protection

Alien Protection is a really fun 2D action roguelike that throws you into a chaotic survival situation. You're defending Earth from waves of bizarre aliens using a variety of weapons and abilities. The game is a side scroller so you'll be dodging and weaving through enemy attacks while trying to stay alive. What makes it interesting is the sandbox element you have a lot of freedom in how you approach each wave. You can experiment with different weapon combinations and upgrade paths to find what works best for you. It's got a good amount of replayability thanks to the roguelike nature of the game each run feels a little different. It's not super deep story wise but the focus is on the fast paced combat and the satisfaction of surviving another wave. If you enjoy games where you constantly need to adapt and improve your skills then Alien Protection is definitely worth checking out.
