Games Like Comets (TheKindWolf)

Comets is a really fun little action game that feels right at home with classic 2D shooters. You control a spaceship blasting through hordes of enemies in a retro pixel art style. It's a top down perspective so you have a good view of what's coming. The gameplay is straightforward and addictive focusing on dodging and shooting. What makes it stand out is the satisfying sense of progression you get as you unlock new ships and abilities. It’s not super deep but it’s incredibly polished and easy to pick up and play for a quick burst of action or a longer gaming session. If you enjoy old school arcade style shooters with a modern feel and charming visuals, Comets is definitely worth checking out. It’s a great way to spend some time blowing up space bugs.
