After the War is a really interesting action game from 1989 that you might enjoy if you like a bit of a challenge. You step into a world recovering from some unspecified conflict and you're tasked with some pretty intense missions. It's a single player experience so you're on your own figuring things out. The gameplay involves a mix of exploration and combat. You'll be navigating different environments, encountering enemies, and trying to survive. What makes it stand out is its atmosphere. It has a gritty, almost bleak feel to it that really draws you in. It’s not a game that holds your hand; you need to be resourceful and learn as you go. It's a classic for a reason offering a unique experience compared to many games of its time.
