Games Like Absent

Absent is a really unique adventure game that blends comedy with a surprisingly unsettling horror atmosphere. You play as a man who wakes up with amnesia in a strange and surreal house. The gameplay is all about exploration and solving puzzles often in a point and click style. It’s not a game that throws combat at you instead it focuses on uncovering the story through interacting with the environment and quirky characters. The humor is dark and often absurd which keeps things from getting too grim. While it's primarily a singleplayer experience it does have a multiplayer component involving cooperative puzzle solving which adds a different layer to the game. It’s a game that sticks with you long after you finish playing because of its bizarre narrative and memorable moments. If you enjoy games that prioritize atmosphere and storytelling over fast paced action Absent is definitely worth checking out.
