Games Like Tekken 2 (1995)

Tekken 2 on the PlayStation is a classic that still holds up today because it delivers pure, fast-paced fighting action with a level of polish that was rare in 1995. You pick a character from a deep roster including legends like Kazuya, Jin, and the ever-fierce King. The gameplay is tight and responsive with a solid mix of light and heavy attacks, combos, and the ability to throw your opponent into the background for a dramatic knockout. The stage design is bold and full of personality, with some arenas even featuring interactive elements like breakable walls and moving platforms. The sound design is punchy and energetic, and every hit lands with satisfying impact. It’s not just about button mashing either—timing, spacing, and reading your opponent’s moves are key. Whether you’re playing alone to test your skills or jumping into a local two-player match, there’s a real thrill in mastering the rhythm of battle. It’s simple on the surface but deep enough to keep you coming back for years.
