Games Like Interkosmos

Interkosmos is a quirky and dreamy first-person adventure that throws you into a surreal version of the Cold War where space travel is handled by a mix of eccentric scientists, eccentricer pilots, and a whole lot of absurdity. You play as a test pilot in a bizarre alternate history where Eastern and Western powers are racing to launch their own space programs using wild tech and even wilder personalities. The game is all about flying colorful, wobbly spacecraft through dreamlike landscapes and atmospheric zones that look like they were painted by a mad artist on a caffeine binge. It’s not about tight combat or realistic physics. It’s about the joy of soaring through the sky, solving silly puzzles, and stumbling into deadpan jokes and bizarre characters who all seem to be in on the joke. There’s a real charm to how it leans into the absurd and lets you explore at your own pace. It’s a game that feels like a fever dream made into a playable experience.
