Games Like Demiurges (itch)

Demiurges is a really clever strategy game where you get to play as a god shaping a world. You don't directly control armies or units instead you build cities and influence the development of civilizations through a deck building mechanic. Each turn you play cards representing actions like constructing buildings, guiding your people, or even intervening in their affairs. It’s a surprisingly deep experience despite its simple 2D pixel art style. The game feels very focused on careful planning and anticipating how your choices will ripple through the world. There's a satisfying sense of watching your creation evolve and deal with the challenges of its own history. It’s a game that rewards thoughtful decision making and offers a unique perspective on the strategy genre. If you enjoy games where you orchestrate events from a higher level and like the idea of influencing a world’s destiny, you should definitely check this one out.
