Games Like Defris

Defris is a really interesting little game that blends tower defense with Tetris elements. You're defending a castle from waves of enemies by strategically placing Tetris pieces to create walls and obstacles. It's played in a hotseat mode which is fantastic for a friend and you to team up or compete. The pixel art style gives it a charming retro feel and the combination of strategic planning with the fast thinking required for Tetris creates a surprisingly addictive loop. It’s a Ludum Dare game so you know it’s packed with creative ideas and a unique twist on familiar mechanics. It’s easy to pick up but offers a decent amount of depth as you figure out the best ways to utilize different Tetris piece shapes against various enemy types. Expect some frantic moments and satisfying defensive setups.
