Deep Space Rough Necks is a really unique simulation game that throws you into the role of a space miner. You’re not battling alien hordes or exploring vibrant planets. Instead you’re focused on the methodical and often unsettling task of extracting resources from desolate asteroids. The game leans heavily into a liminal space aesthetic which creates a constant feeling of isolation and quiet dread. You'll be managing your ship, navigating asteroid fields, and carefully planning your mining operations. There's a surprising amount of depth to the resource management and ship maintenance which can be really satisfying. If you enjoy games that prioritize atmosphere and a sense of quiet accomplishment over fast paced action, this one might be for you. It's a different kind of gaming experience a thoughtful and contemplative one.
