Games Like DDLC

DDLC is a really unique visual novel. You play as a student who gets invited to a sleepover at a mysterious abandoned school. The story unfolds through a series of conversations with a group of unusual and often unsettlingly cheerful girls. There's no traditional gameplay like exploring or solving puzzles. Instead, you make choices in dialogue that affect your relationships with these characters and ultimately determine the story's outcome. It's a game that leans heavily into atmosphere and character interaction. What makes it stand out is how it slowly builds a sense of dread and unease despite its initially lighthearted presentation. It's a memorable experience because of its unpredictable narrative and the incredibly distinct personalities of the characters you encounter. Be prepared for some seriously strange and thought provoking moments.
