Games Like David Game Fighter

David Game Fighter is a really interesting little fighting game created as part of a game jam back in 2018. It’s a prototype built using Monogame and C which makes it a fascinating look at what’s possible with relatively simple tools. The core experience is straightforward you control David in one on one battles against AI opponents. The gameplay focuses on learning your opponent’s moves and finding openings to execute your own combos. It's not a deeply complex fighting game by any means but it has a charm and a surprising amount of depth for its origins. You’ll spend time experimenting with different attack patterns and trying to master the timing of your strikes. It’s a game that rewards persistence and a willingness to learn from your mistakes. It’s a fun little project to dive into if you enjoy exploring the fundamentals of fighting game mechanics.
