Games Like Datil

Datil is a charming 2D platformer that really surprised me. You play as a little creature navigating a surreal and somewhat unsettling world. The gameplay is all about precise jumping and exploring these strange levels which are full of secrets. It’s not a game that throws complex mechanics at you it’s more about mastering the movement and discovering the story through the environment and little interactions. There’s a definite sense of atmosphere to it a little bit melancholic and mysterious. It’s the kind of game you can pick up and play for a short while or lose yourself in for a longer session just enjoying the journey and figuring things out. It's a refreshing take on the platformer genre focusing on mood and discovery over intense action.
