Cosmic Tempest is a really interesting indie title for PC that blends action strategy and casual crafting elements. You find yourself managing a small space station navigating asteroid fields and resource gathering. It’s not a super intense combat game but there’s definitely a satisfying element to optimizing your station and defending it from space pirates. The crafting system is surprisingly deep allowing you to build all sorts of useful modules and upgrades. You can explore procedurally generated sectors discovering new resources and encountering different alien lifeforms. It’s a game you can pick up for a quick session or sink a few hours into as you build your cosmic empire. There's a surprising amount of conversation woven into the narrative too so it feels like you’re actually interacting with the people running your station.
