CoreWar Plus is a fascinating throwback to the early days of computer gaming a strategic battle game where you program tiny programs to fight each other. It’s all about creating these little war machines and then pitting them against opponents. The gameplay is surprisingly deep considering its simple premise. It’s a puzzle a programming challenge and a surprisingly engaging spectator sport. The game encourages experimentation and finding clever ways to outmaneuver your adversaries. It’s not visually stunning by today’s standards but the core loop of designing and battling programs is incredibly addictive and rewarding.
