Columns HD is a wonderfully addictive puzzle game perfect for a little downtime. You're presented with a cascading grid of colorful blocks and your goal is to swap adjacent blocks to create lines of three or more matching colors. When you make a match the blocks disappear and new ones fall from the top. It sounds simple but it quickly becomes quite challenging as the game speeds up and more colors are introduced. There's a real satisfaction in clearing the board and building up impressive combos. It’s easy to pick up and play making it great for short bursts but the increasing difficulty keeps you hooked for longer sessions. The music is catchy and the vibrant colors are visually appealing.
