CodeRED: Alien Arena throws you right into the middle of a chaotic alien invasion. You pick from a bunch of unique soldier types each with their own weapons and abilities then team up with friends or go solo to blast hordes of extraterrestrial invaders. The gameplay is all about fast paced shooting and utilizing special powers to survive waves of enemies. It’s got a really cool art style that feels both gritty and fun and the variety in weapons and character builds keeps things interesting. It’s a game where you can just let loose and enjoy the explosion or carefully plan your attacks. It’s not super deep story wise but the core loop of shooting aliens and getting more powerful is incredibly satisfying and easy to pick up. If you like a good old fashioned shooter with plenty of action and a touch of sci-fi flair this is a solid choice.
