Games Like City!

City! is a really interesting game that flips the script on city building. Instead of directly controlling your city's development, you take on the role of a god overseeing its growth. You don't micromanage buildings or resources. Instead you influence events and guide your civilization through various eras. It's all about observing how your choices impact the people living in your city and seeing the stories unfold. The puzzle aspect comes in figuring out how to best nudge things in the right direction whether that's preventing disasters or fostering prosperity. It's a surprisingly relaxing experience watching your city evolve organically and it offers a unique perspective on the challenges and triumphs of civilization building. If you enjoy games where you orchestrate rather than directly control and like a touch of cosmic power fantasy then City! is definitely worth checking out.
