Games Like Citadels

Citadels is a medieval-themed strategy game where you build and defend your own city from waves of enemies while managing resources, upgrading structures, and making tough choices about where to focus your efforts. You start with a small settlement and slowly expand your walls, train guards, and research new technologies to survive. The game throws you into tense battles where timing and positioning matter a lot. You have to decide whether to fortify your gates, send out scouts, or prepare for a siege that might come at any moment. The visuals are solid with a clean medieval art style and everything feels functional rather than flashy. You can play it in short bursts or stick with it for longer sessions as you grow your city into a proper stronghold. It’s not groundbreaking but it does keep you engaged with smart pacing and a satisfying sense of progress.
