Games Like Childhood (tobydo)

Childhood is a really unique experience. It’s a game about memory and the way we piece together our past. You explore fragmented recollections presented as surreal and often unsettling environments. There isn't a traditional story with clear objectives. Instead, you wander through these dreamlike spaces, interacting with objects and triggering echoes of events. It’s less about achieving a goal and more about feeling the emotional weight of those forgotten moments. The game uses abstract visuals and sound design to evoke a specific mood, a sense of nostalgia tinged with melancholy. It’s a very personal journey and the interpretation is largely up to the player. If you enjoy games that prioritize atmosphere and emotional resonance over conventional gameplay, Childhood offers a deeply affecting and memorable experience.
