Games Like Chess 2 (itch)

Chess 2 from itch is a surprisingly engaging take on the classic board game. It takes the familiar rules of chess and adds a layer of strategic depth with a focus on positioning and tactical maneuvering. The game presents you with a standard chessboard and pieces but encourages creative play beyond just checkmating the opponent. You'll find yourself planning several moves ahead considering piece interactions and potential forks or sacrifices. While it doesn't have a traditional story mode, the focus on skillful play and outwitting your opponent provides a compelling sense of challenge and satisfaction. It's a game where every move matters and a thoughtful approach can lead to some genuinely clever and rewarding victories.
