Games Like Chasing Dead

Chasing Dead throws you into a bleak sci-fi world where you play as a lone survivor running through abandoned labs and crumbling cityscapes while being hunted by something that feels more like a presence than a monster. The game is first-person and moves at a tense, deliberate pace. You’re not blasting your way through hordes but carefully listening for footsteps, hiding behind rubble, and using minimal tools to survive. Every creak of a door or flicker of light makes your pulse jump. The environments are hauntingly detailed with a washed-out color palette that makes everything feel like a memory fading fast. You explore old terminals, find scattered notes, and piece together a story about a failed experiment gone wrong. The combat is minimal and often not even an option. It’s more about running, hiding, and staying silent. The atmosphere is thick and oppressive, and the sense of dread builds slowly but never lets up. It’s not flashy or fast paced but it sticks with you long after you close the game.
