Games Like Cave Plane

Cave Plane is a really cool 2D action shooter that throws you into a constantly shifting subterranean world. You play as a plane pilot navigating procedurally generated cave systems. The whole point is to survive by shooting enemies and collecting upgrades to improve your plane. What makes it stand out is the destructible environment. You can blast through walls to find new paths or escape pursuing foes. The 8-bit aesthetic gives it a nostalgic charm while the dark atmosphere and challenging gameplay keep things engaging. It's the kind of game where you might die a lot but each run feels different and rewarding. It's a surprisingly addictive experience that's easy to pick up but offers a decent amount of depth for those who want to master it.
