Cave hunter is a really interesting little game that popped up in a 2020 jam. It’s a bit of a mixed bag genre-wise throwing in elements of hunting and gunplay but with a laser twist. The core loop involves tracking down various creatures in a mysterious environment. You’ll be using different weapons including lasers to take them down. What makes it stand out is the unique blend of exploration and the surprisingly tense feeling of being hunted yourself. It’s not a long game but it offers a focused experience. The visuals are simple but effective creating a distinct atmosphere.
