Imagine being the supreme overlord of a colony of cats. That's essentially what Cat Herder is all about. You don't directly control the cats you instead set up their environment, build structures like cat trees and scratching posts and try to keep them entertained and out of trouble. It’s a surprisingly engaging experience because the cats are wonderfully chaotic and unpredictable. You’ll spend your time managing their needs, dealing with their hilarious antics, and trying to prevent them from causing utter mayhem. The game is less about winning and more about observing the emergent behavior of your feline subjects. It's funny, relaxing in a bizarre way, and definitely a unique take on the simulation genre. It’s a game that’s easy to pick up but offers endless opportunities for amusing situations and a genuine sense of accomplishment when you finally get your cat colony under control or at least mostly under control.
