Cat Bandit is a delightfully challenging 2D action game that’s perfect for a quick play session. You control a mischievous cat on a mission to steal all the eggnog in town. The game has a minimalist art style and a retro PICO-8 aesthetic which gives it a unique charm. Gameplay revolves around navigating tricky levels avoiding obstacles and enemies. It’s not a game that holds your hand; expect to die a lot as you learn the patterns and timing required to succeed. The difficulty is definitely there but it’s fair and rewarding when you finally pull off a daring heist. It’s a simple premise executed with precision and a surprising amount of depth making it a fun little experience to sink some time into.
