Games Like Cartastrophe

Cartastrophe is a really clever little action game that popped up in the Game Maker's Toolkit Jam back in 2020. It’s a surprisingly engaging experience where you’re constantly trying to manage a chaotic cartoony world. You don't have a lot of direct control over your character. Instead, you’re guiding them through environments that are actively collapsing and shifting. The core fun comes from figuring out how to navigate these unpredictable situations using the tools and abilities you find along the way. It’s all about quick thinking and adapting to a constantly changing landscape. The game is short and sweet offering a unique blend of challenge and emergent gameplay that keeps you hooked as you try to survive each increasingly bizarre scenario. It’s the kind of game that makes you say “wow I didn’t expect that”.
