Games Like Capacity (Thom Simonson)

Capacity by Thom Simonson is a really unique experience. It's a Twine game which means you navigate it through text choices. The story unfolds in a very atmospheric and often unsettling way set in New York City. You play as someone grappling with complex themes of abuse and urban fantasy. There's no traditional gameplay like aiming or solving puzzles. Instead, it’s about reading, making difficult choices, and experiencing the narrative's emotional weight. It's not a game you "win" in the typical sense. It’s more about confronting a story and its consequences. If you enjoy games that prioritize narrative and atmosphere over action and mechanics, and aren't afraid of mature themes, Capacity offers a truly memorable and thought provoking journey. It's a game that stays with you long after you finish playing.
