Games Like Calling Cloud

Calling Cloud is a really interesting blend of old and new. It feels like a love letter to classic Game Boy games with its retro aesthetic and top down perspective. You play as a character navigating a surreal world filled with supernatural elements. The gameplay is a mix of exploration and platforming but it's the story that really grabs you. It's told through these very personal monologues which give you a deep insight into the character's thoughts and feelings. It's not a fast paced action game. Instead it invites you to take your time and really absorb the atmosphere and the narrative. If you enjoy games that prioritize a unique story and a nostalgic feel over intense action then you should definitely check this one out. It’s a little different and that’s what makes it special.
