Games Like Cages (itch)

Cages is a really unique adventure game that puts you in a very unsettling and atmospheric world. You control a character who is constantly trapped in various cages and confined spaces. The core gameplay revolves around navigating these environments, solving environmental puzzles, and finding ways to escape. It’s a slow burn kind of experience focusing on exploration and a growing sense of dread. The art style is simple 2D but it’s incredibly effective at creating a claustrophobic and eerie feeling. It’s not about fast action or complex combat; it's about carefully observing your surroundings, figuring out how things work, and feeling the weight of your imprisonment. If you enjoy games that prioritize atmosphere and a sense of mystery over traditional gameplay mechanics, Cages offers a genuinely memorable and somewhat disturbing experience. It’s a game that sticks with you long after you finish playing.
