Games Like Burning Spirit

Burning Spirit is a really cool 2D top down action game that you can jump into right in your web browser. You play as a spirit tasked with protecting a forest from encroaching darkness. It's a tower defense game at its core but it’s got a really unique feel. You collect energy and use it to summon different spirit allies to fight off waves of enemies. What's neat is that each spirit has its own special abilities and attack styles so you have to think about how to best position them. The forest setting is beautifully drawn and the music really sets a great atmosphere. It's not overly complicated to pick up but there's definitely depth to mastering the different spirits and figuring out the best strategies to survive each wave. It’s a perfect game to play when you want something engaging but not too demanding.
