Brutal Dodgers: Dusk is a really cool 2D platformer with a distinct Western vibe. You play as a lone traveler dodging all sorts of nasty projectiles and obstacles as you make your way through a mysterious and somewhat desolate world. The pixel art is fantastic giving it a nostalgic feel while still looking fresh. It’s a challenging game that demands precise timing and quick reflexes but it’s also incredibly satisfying when you finally nail a tough sequence. The singleplayer experience is focused on exploration and overcoming increasingly difficult levels. There isn’t a lot of hand holding so you'll need to figure things out as you go which adds to the sense of accomplishment. It’s a game that respects your skill and rewards persistence.
