Games Like Breed (itch)

Breed is a really cool 2D top down shooter that feels like a blast from the past but with a modern twist. You control a creature that can absorb and then unleash the abilities of fallen enemies. It's all about experimenting with different powers and finding the combos that work best. The gameplay is fast paced and satisfying, especially when you manage to chain together a series of devastating attacks. The art style is simple yet effective, and the game has a surprisingly addictive quality. It's the kind of game you can pick up and play for a quick session or get lost in for a longer one trying out new strategies. It’s a fantastic example of what can be achieved with the Godot engine and a testament to the wild creativity you find in jam games. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy action games with a unique power system.
