Games Like Breakout SAE

Breakout SAE is a really interesting take on the classic Breakout formula. It's a fast paced action game where you control a paddle trying to destroy blocks. What makes it stand out is the art style it uses pixel graphics that are intentionally rough and a little gory. It's not trying to be pretty it's going for a distinct look and feel. The game is available on Linux and the web so it's pretty accessible. You'll be smashing blocks and dodging projectiles trying to survive as long as you can. It's simple to pick up but there's a surprising amount of depth as you try to improve your skills and achieve high scores. If you like retro games with a modern twist and don't mind a bit of pixelated mayhem this one could be right up your alley.
