Games Like Boids (Glaas)

Boids is a really fascinating little game that lets you create and direct flocks of birds using simple rules. It’s surprisingly engaging to watch these digital creatures interact with each other and their environment. You don't control the birds directly instead you set up the basic principles of their behavior like separation avoiding obstacles and aligning with their neighbors. The game presents you with different challenges often involving navigating through complex spaces or avoiding hazards. It’s a great blend of visual appeal and thoughtful simulation. There’s a real satisfaction in tweaking the parameters and seeing how it affects the flock’s movement. It's the kind of game you can pick up for a few minutes or get lost in for a longer session just experimenting with different flock configurations. It feels almost meditative watching them go about their business.
