Games Like Bird! Avoid Spikes

Bird Avoid Spikes is a deceptively simple yet surprisingly engaging web game where you control a little bird trying to fly as far as possible. The core gameplay loop is incredibly addictive you tap to make the bird jump and flap its wings avoiding a constant barrage of spikes. It sounds straightforward and it is but the game introduces increasing difficulty and various obstacles as you progress. There are different bird skins to unlock which adds a bit of personalization and a reason to keep playing. It’s the kind of game you can pick up for a quick five minute burst or lose yourself in for a longer session trying to beat your high score. The minimalist 2D graphics are clean and functional focusing your attention on the challenging gameplay. It’s a perfect example of how a simple concept can be executed really well resulting in a game that’s easy to learn but hard to master.
