Games Like Battle Forge

Battle Forge is a fascinating little strategy game that really makes you think. It’s a mouse only experience set in a medieval world where you’re constantly crafting and building. The core loop is all about gathering resources, forging equipment for your hero, and then using that hero to explore dungeons and fight monsters. It's surprisingly deep for a game made as part of Ludum Dare 36. There’s a real sense of progression as you find new blueprints and upgrade your gear. The gameplay is quite unique since you control your character directly with the mouse, which adds a tactile feel to the strategic decisions you make. It’s not a game that holds your hand; you’ll need to experiment and figure things out yourself. If you enjoy games where you feel like a resourceful adventurer piecing together your own success, Battle Forge offers a charming and engaging experience.
