BatMUD is a really cool old school style RPG that lets you dive into a persistent online world. Imagine a classic fantasy adventure but with a massive number of other players all interacting. You create a character and can explore a huge world complete with quests, dungeons, and a thriving player driven economy. What makes it stand out is its focus on player freedom. You aren't railroaded into a specific story you can forge your own path. It’s a text based MUD so you use commands to do everything which might take a little getting used to but it allows for incredible roleplaying possibilities. The community is active and helpful and it really feels like a living breathing world that evolves as players interact with it. If you enjoy games where you can really shape your own destiny and connect with other players in a deep and immersive way BatMUD is definitely worth checking out.
