Games Like Bastide

Bastide is a really unique experience. You're building a city from the ground up after a cataclysmic event. It's not about direct control though. You set up production chains, manage resources, and decide what buildings to construct all while a narrator tells a captivating story about the world and your role in it. The game blends city building with a surprisingly engaging narrative and a distinctive art style. It’s a chill game at times letting you focus on planning and optimization but also offers moments of intense decision making as you deal with unexpected events. It’s the kind of game you can easily lose yourself in for hours, figuring out the best way to expand your settlement and uncover the mysteries of this strange new world. If you enjoy games that prioritize atmosphere and a compelling story over fast paced action, Bastide is definitely worth checking out.
