Games Like Base Wars (2021)

Base Wars is a really fun little strategy game where you build bases and battle other players in 2D pixel art. It’s easy to pick up but has a surprising amount of depth. You start with a small plot of land and gather resources to construct buildings defenses and units. The core loop is all about optimizing your base layout and tactically deploying your forces to outsmart your opponents. You can play against other people online in multiplayer matches or challenge yourself in the single player mode which includes a level editor so you can create your own scenarios. It's got a charming retro aesthetic and the gameplay is surprisingly addictive. It's a great game to jump into for a quick match or sink some time into perfecting your base design.
