Games Like Backroads

Backroads is a first person simulation game that immediately sets a creepy atmosphere. You find yourself alone on a desolate road venturing into the unknown. The game focuses on exploration and a growing sense of unease as you navigate strange locations and uncover unsettling secrets. There's no combat so the horror comes from the environment and the feeling of being watched. It's less about jump scares and more about a persistent feeling of dread and mystery. You'll be driving down long stretches of road, investigating abandoned places, and piecing together a narrative through environmental storytelling. If you enjoy games that prioritize mood and atmosphere over action and want to experience a slow burn of psychological horror, Backroads offers a uniquely unsettling journey. It’s a game that lingers with you long after you’ve stopped playing because of the pervasive sense of something not being quite right.
