Games Like Backpackman

Backpackman is a really clever strategy game that takes the familiar Pac-Man formula and flips it on its head. Instead of controlling Pac-Man directly you manage a team of little backpack-wearing characters navigating mazes. The twist is each backpack character has unique abilities you need to strategically deploy to collect items and outmaneuver your opponent. It’s surprisingly deep for a game with such a simple premise. You’ll find yourself planning routes anticipating enemy movements and optimizing your team’s composition. It’s a fun puzzle that rewards thoughtful planning and offers a satisfying sense of accomplishment when you pull off a brilliant maneuver. If you enjoy games that challenge your mind with a charming retro aesthetic Backpackman is definitely worth checking out.
