Games Like Axe

Axe is a really neat little 2D action game that you can jump into right in your web browser. It has this super clean minimalist pixel art style which is really striking. You play as a silent axe wielder battling through hordes of enemies. The gameplay is all about precise timing and skillful axe throws. You need to learn the patterns of the enemies to dodge their attacks and find the openings to strike. It’s surprisingly engaging for a game with such a simple presentation. The retro aesthetic combined with the intense combat creates a really addictive loop. It’s the kind of game you can pick up for a quick burst of action or sink a bit more time into trying to master the combat. It’s a testament to how much fun can be had with a focused core mechanic.
