Auto Defense is a surprisingly engaging strategy game perfect for when you want something to occupy your downtime. You don't directly control units instead you strategically place towers and other defensive structures to protect your castle from waves of incoming enemies. The gameplay loop is really satisfying as you upgrade your defenses and unlock new abilities to handle increasingly difficult challenges. It’s a simple concept but the game offers a good amount of depth in terms of tower combinations and strategic positioning. The castle theme is charming and the constant flow of enemies keeps things lively. It’s easy to pick up and play but there’s a real sense of accomplishment in successfully fending off a massive horde. If you enjoy a bit of tactical planning without needing twitch reflexes, Auto Defense offers a fun and rewarding experience.
