Games Like Atomic Heart

Atomic Heart throws you into a twisted version of the Soviet Union where everything is sleek and shiny but deeply wrong. You play as a quiet scientist who wakes up in a massive research complex built in the 1950s but somehow exists in a future that never happened. The world is full of retrofuturistic machines that have gone haywire and now attack you with bizarre energy weapons and mechanical limbs. You fight with a mix of melee and ranged attacks, using gadgets like a remote-controlled drone and a pulse rifle that can freeze enemies in place. The real fun comes from exploring every corner of this surreal place, uncovering hidden labs, cracking open old terminals, and piecing together what went wrong. There are moments of genuine dread and tension, but also weird humor and a sense of wonder that makes it feel like you're walking through a dream that’s slowly turning into a nightmare.
